Our Sierra Wilderness Kayak Camp is based at Loon Lake near the western edge of Desolation Wilderness
(between Placerville and Tahoe). At 6500' elevation
Loon Lake has a beautiful granite shoreline, clear water and
many islands to explore. It offers great day hiking and fabulous
swimming. As always, Blue Water Ventures emphasizes team work, a sense
of adventure and an appreciation of the natural world. Packing up your
own kayak and heading out to a wilderness site is exciting!
