Blue Water Ventures Protocol Concerning Coronavirus~ COVID-19

For all Local Scheduled and Private Tours

Protocol for each school and  youth group  will be discussed with teachers or youth leaders prior to our adventure.

We are committed to the health and well being of our guests and crew. We continue to monitor the evolving situation regarding the Coronavirus by reviewing updates put forth by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Monterey and Santa Cruz County Health Departments.

Our kayaking, hiking and snorkeling  tours typically meet in the open fresh air, never indoors.

In Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we  follow these protocols, see below.

Protocol for Sanitation

We sterilize our kayak paddle shafts with a spray disinfectant solution

We rinse our PFDs and spray skirts  and/or air dry using the sun’s ultraviolet light.

Customers may choose to  wear a face mask or not based on the latest updates by the CDC regarding face masks and the COVID-19 virus.  We fully support anyone’s choice to wear a face mask.  Our guides will not ask if you have been vaccinated for the COVID-19 Virus.

Our tandem boats measure a few inches shy of six feet from cockpit seat to cockpit seat (Amaruks are 5’10” and Looskha T’s are 5’8″) Once seated, you are not facing your kayaking partner.

Protocol for Screening our Clients and Guides

 We reserve the right to refuse anyone on the morning of the trip who appears sick with a cough, shortness of breathe, fever, etc. For our kayaking and hiking programs, will offer them a credit for a future booking. For our boat charters, you will be offered a kayaking or hiking credit.  If your temperature is above 100, or you have any any flu, cold or Covid like symptoms please do not join us. You may reschedule. Please don’t arrive sick.

Please email us to discuss options for rescheduling.

Please remember proper trip hygiene such as coughing into a bent elbow, use of hand sanitizer, a reminder to not touch your face and to dunk hands into sea water as needed for rinsing while on the water.
