Mendocino Sea Caves by Kayak
Sea Caves and Rivers of the Mendocino Coast: Kayak/Campout TBA
Trip starts at 1pm on Thursday and ends at 3:00pm on Saturday (in order to join us, the kayak instruction provided on Thursday is considered mandatory)
The sea caves, rock gardens and rivers of the Mendocino Coast are spectacular places to explore by kayak. Using Sit-On-Top kayaks, we’ll paddle into caves, rock archways and over kelp beds as we look for local residents such as harbor seals and river otters. Kayakers with some experience with a sense of adventure and comfort in open ocean conditions welcomed!
To register, please submit a payment of $200 that covers your sea caves and rock garden kayak instruction on our first 2 days based at Van Damne State Park.
An additional $275 is due by TBA that covers a guided kayaking tour along the scenic Albion River, natural history interpretation from professional naturalist; 2 nights of waterfront camping at the private campground of Schooner’s Landing, launch fees, optional night river kayaking, permits and food (2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and dinner on Thursday)
As always, we throw in a great bunch of paddlers for the weekend! Open to all ages 18 and above including those who have never camped…let our guides take care of the camping details! Those with some experience sea kayaking who are relatively fit with a sense of adventure are welcomed to join us.
