Travel to the Galapagos Island Adventure

November 3rd: Flight Suggestions to Quito, Ecuador then Onward to the Galapagos

* When instructed book your flights to Quito and home, as well as your round trip flight from Quito to the Galapagos

Our Galapagos Island Adventure begins in Quito, Ecuador where we have secured accommodations for two nights near the Quito International Airport, November 3rd and 4th. We suggest exploring Kayak.com or other search engines to review flight options into Quito arriving anytime on November 3rd or early morning on November 4th. The airport code for Quito is UIO. You may also contact American Airlines, United Airlines, Avianca Airlines or Delta Airlines directly to book your flights or use miles.

Another option: Sometimes your most affordable option or the timing that works best for you is found by booking a one way flight to Ecuador and return home on another airlines.

If you plan to arrive into Ecuador before November 3rd, you may check into our hotel anytime after 3:00pm on November 3rd. Hotel details to be announced in the New Year. As most flights arrive quite late on November 3rd or early morning on November 4th, our first official gathering as a group will be at 11am on November 4th.

November 5th: Quito to Baltra, Galapagos

On November 5th, book a round trip flight from Quito to Baltra island, the gateway to the Galapagos Islands. Please select Avianca Flight 1688 departing Quito at 9:15am with an arrival into Baltra at 10:28am. The Airport Code for Baltra is GPS. We highly recommend selecting the “Flex”option which allows for a 50 pound checked luggage, itinerary changes and refunds.

November 12th: Baltra, Galapagos to Quito

On November 12th, book the 2:00pm departure from Baltra Island to Quito, Avianca Flight 1639 arriving into Quito at 6:35pm. We have secured hotel accommodations for November 12th with our final dinner together included. Again we suggest the “Flex” option.

We have activities planned upon our arrival to Baltras, November 5th as well as the day we depart, November 12th so please do not choose other flight options

November 13th: Quito to Home

You may book your return flight home anytime on November 13th

If you are interested in extending your stay in Quito or exploring Ecuador further, please feel free to do your own research. Once we have booked our hotels in Quito for November 3rd, 4th and 12th, we will share details with you. However, you may want to relocate into the Historic Center of Quito proper rather than staying out near the airport.
