August 7th-21st, 2025

 Blue Water Ventures is  providing one  round trip domestic flight in Tonga departing Tongatapu  to Ha’apai on August 13th  and returning to Tongatapu  on August  20th. You are responsible for booking  three international flights.

On August 5th,  book your one way flight to the Nadi International Airport in Fiji  for an arrival on Thursday, August 7th.  If you are flying from the west coast of the USA, you will need to make arrangements to fly on the evening of August 5th  with an arrival into Nadi, Fiji   on August 7th.

The airport code for Fiji  is NAN

Your second international flight is a one way flight from  Nadi, Fiji (NAN) to Tongatapu, Tonga (TBU) on August 12th. Currently,  Fiji Airlines Flight #211 departs Fiji  at 2:00pm and arrives into Tonga at 5:00pm. We will overnight in Tongatapu, a double occupancy hotel stay and dinner is included in your package.

Your third flight is from Tonga to your return  home on August 21st.  Currently Air Fiji flight #210  departs Tongatapu (TBU)  at 5:50pm  and currently arrives into San Francisco at 1:45pm on August 21st.

Our suggestion based on current rates and flight times as of September 1st, 2024

On August 5th    Book a one way flight with Air Fiji  with  service to Nadi, Fiji (NAN) for those traveling from The San Francisco Bay Area. This direct  flight departs San Francisco  at 11:35pm and arrives into Nadi, Fiji at 5:10am.    One option is to arrive a day or two early and stay at a hotel near the Nadi International airport then meet us at the airport  by 6:30am on August 7th.   This would allow you to recover from jet lag that you may experience. If you decide to arrive earlier in Fiji,  please take a look at hotels near the Nadi International Airport.  Several of our clients have stayed at the Sailor’s Beach Resort   or Club Fiji near the Nadi International Airport.  Affordable hotels can be reviewed at Booking.com or any search engine you prefer to  use. As flight times may change before August,  we just ask  that you  meet us at the  Nadi Airport  at 6:30am  on August 7th and email us with any flight updates. We have a 3 hour shuttle to our resort along the Coral Coast of Fiji.

On August 12th   Book  a one way flight with Air Fiji, Flight #211   that departs  Nadi (NAN)   at 2:00pm  and arrives into Tongatapu (TBU)  at 5:00pm on August 12th.  Review  online at  Air Fiji  or by calling  800 227 4446 You may also book this flight through: kayak.com.

On August 21st   Book a one way flight with  Air Fiji  Flight # 210 departing  Tongatapu (TBU)  at 5:50pm to Nadi, Fiji  then onward to San Francisco or your mainland destination and can be reviewed  here  kayak.com.   or Air Fiji.   Air Fiji may partner with American or Alaska Airlines. If you would rather route through New Zealand, you may  contact Air New Zealand or  kayak.com for flight options from Tonga. They may partner with United Airlines.

Please Note: VISA REQUIREMENT IF TRAVELING THROUGH NEW ZEALAND:  Some people choose to include New Zealand in their travels. Even if you are in transit between New Zealand and Tonga or Fiji, you will  need to obtain a NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Authority). Please visit the New Zealand Immigration Site to obtain a NZeTA. It’s an easy process which you should do at least 4 weeks before traveling, although the site states that the turn around time is 72 hours.  Once on the Immigration Site click on  Check If you Need a NZeTA  and then you will request a NZeTA or Visa. The current fee for the NZeTA is $17  in New Zealand currency which is about $10 US. You have the option to take a photo using their camera. We recommend this.
