Blue Water Ventures is providing six domestic flights in Tonga. You are responsible for booking your own flight to the Fua’amotu International Airport, Tonga for an arrival on Monday, August 5th.
If you are flying from the west coast of the USA, you will need to make arrangements to fly on the evening of Saturday, August 3rd.
The airport code for flights to Tonga is TBU.
People may opt to extend their vacation on either end of your Tongan adventure and we think that’s a great option!
Please do not book your international flight until you receive a trip status email from us this fall.
You will then need to book your return flight from the Fua’amotu International Airport, Tonga on 17th.
Your Blue Water Ventures Guides will meet you in Tonga on August 5th at the Fua’amotu
International Airport, Tonga by 10:30am
Look for us after you clear customs.

We suggest that you make your flight arrangements by contacting Air Fiji at 800 227 4446 or Air New Zealand at 800 262 1234. Many clients have booked their own flights directly at Air New Zealand, Fiji Airlines or through an online travel services such as Kayak.com
There are Several Options For Travel
OPTION ONE: The most direct and affordable option is to arrange a roundtrip flight with Air Fiji`see Details below.
OPTION TWO: Another option is to book a round trip flight with Air New Zealand which will require that you overnight near the Auckland Airport on August 17th.
This would be a great option for those who want to extend their trip to include New Zealand.
As people choose this option, we can suggest hotels near the Auckland airport that past clients have used, a cost and booking that you will cover.
If you are not traveling from the San Francisco Bay area, please make sure that you meet us outside of baggage claim at the Fua’amotu International Airport in Tongatapu, Tonga by 10:30am on August 5th.
Our recommendation is to book with Air Fiji which departs San Francisco at 11:00pm on August 3rd. You will arrive into Fiji on August 5th at 5:10am. You will then continue on with Air Fiji to Fua’amotu International Airport, Tonga which departs Fiji at 7:00am and arrives into Tonga at 10:05am on August 5th.
We will meet you outside of baggage claim at the Fua’amotu International Airport, Tonga on August 5th by 10:30am and will be taking care of the next domestic flight to our final destination of Ha’apai, Tonga.
We have a connecting flight on Real Tonga that departs at 2:30pm and arrives into Ha’apai at 3:30pm on August 5th.
Flight Information: Tonga to Home
On August 17th we have a flight leaving Vava’u by 10:30am and arrive into Fua’amotu International Airport at 11:30am
There are two options for your return.
One option is to book the most direct flight on this date with Fiji Airways that departs Tongatapu at 4:50pm on August 17th and arrives back in California on August 17th at 1:45pm
The other option is to return with Air New Zealand Flight that departs at 10:05pm and arrives into Auckland at 12:10am
You would overnight in Auckland and then start your travels through New Zealand.
We suggest that you call Air New Zealand or a Travel Agent to discuss your travel plans if you decide to extend your stay in New Zealand before or after our Tonga Adventure.
You could also extend your travels to include Fiji.
